Prior to establishing Palma VFX in 2001, Fred worked with some of the finest visual effects and animation companies in California for over 12 years. During his 6 years at PDI/Dreamworks, Fred played a leading role in the making of several award-winning features, including the Oscar-winning Shrek. Additionally, Fred worked as a Technical Director at Rhythm and Hues, Los Angeles on several award-winning commercials including Coke Polar bear and the Oscar-winning Babe. In 1991 Fred graduated with a Masters Degree in Computer Graphics from Middlesex Polytechnics, London. He launched his career as a freelance digital artist/graphic software consultant in Europe.
